BTMS Helps Raise Money for Leukemia/Lymphoma Society

Some of Flagler Schools’ amazing students who go to Buddy Taylor Middle School are striving to help the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society (LLS) by holding a fundraiser for the society. Buddy Taylor students have a mission to collect pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and any cash they can raise from April 3rd to April 28th in support of the LLS. This society’s goal is to help find cures for Leukemia/Lymphoma and ensure that blood cancer patients receive treatment. It is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.

Mrs. Kathy Taylor, Pennies for Patients representative, said, We have been a part of the Pennies for Patients program for several years. It is one way for us to help our community and allows our entire school to be a part of a great cause; helping kids and adults who have blood cancers.”

Pennies for Patients teaches the students compassion, kindness, and empathy for others. If you would like to donate to the LLS for BTMS, click here. Buddy Taylor has a goal of $2,017, and and donations either go to support a specific student or the entire school’s goal.
