Flagler Palm Coast High School is hosting a showcase on Thursday, April 6th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Flagler Auditorium at FPC. This showcase is to give the families of Flagler County an inside look at what FPC has to offer for students who are or are actually considering attending the school. This is a perfect opportunity for students and/or family members to ask questions and learn more information about school involvement, such as clubs and activities. FPC has hosted a similar event to this before, but it was referred to as the eighth grade orientation.
All families are welcomed to attend this showcase, not just students who are zoned to attend FPC. FPC Assistant Principal Mrs. Stacia Collier, who will be overseeing the showcase, said, “Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year, students across the state of Florida have the choice to attend any school. With this new policy in place, FPC wants to show all students the different opportunities we have to offer and why it’s such a great school to attend.” This new policy allows a parent from any school district in the state to enroll their child in, and they can transport their child to any public school that has not reached capacity. For more information on this policy, read about it on the Florida Department of Education website.
This showcase offers information about flagships such as Fire Leadership Academy, i3 Academy, Embry Riddle, and the IB program. Their will be more information of other class possibilities offered such as culinary, drama, and construction, and extracurriculars such as sports, chorus, and ROTC.
