What Does Flagler Mean to You: Flagler/Palm Coast Photo Contest

Flagler County is holding a photo contest for ages 14 and up, and anyone in that age range is welcome to enter. Entries are due April 10, 2017, and each participant may submit up to 20 entries. The theme is “Find Your Florida in Palm Coast”. Good examples of what could be submitted include: family fun at festivals, sports activities, parks and trails within Palm Coast, and much more. All entries will be shown Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the main event.

Mrs. Cindi Lane, Palm Coast Communications & Marketing Manager stated, “We believe that the benefits of having a healthy community ‘Starts in Parks.’”

The contest is split up into two age groups (all as of January 1st, 2017):

  • Adults: 19 and older
  • Youth: 14 to 18

Last year’s Best Bird Winner

Participants under 18 years of age require the permission of a parent or guardian. To fill out a permission slip and submit pictures click here.

Awards will be given in categories for best in show, first, second, and third place, plus special awards for the best bird photo and a specific winner from the youth category.

Awards will include gift certificates to local businesses for the following amounts:

  • First: $200
  • Second: $100
  • Third: $50
  • Best Bird: $40
  • Youth: $40

The winning photographers will be recognized at a meeting of Palm Coast Council as well. To learn more information visit their website. Please note that the contest is not open to employees of the City of Palm Coast or their immediate family.

Pictures will be judged by age group and based on their overall quality, impact, composition, creativity, technical skill, and storytelling. Good luck and enter today!
