On Friday, February 17, 2017 Flagler Palm Coast High School’s TV Production Club will be hosting an annual film festival. The festival is from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Flagler Palm Coast High School in the Bulldog Learning Commons, and includes Valentine’s Day themed films from both Matanzas and FPC students. Tickets are $5 at the door.
If you are a high school student interested in submitting a school appropriate “Romance”, ‘Romantic Comedy”, or “Romantic Horror” film that is two-to-five minutes long, you can do so by emailing Mrs. Janice Celeste at firstname.lastname@example.org by February 15th. Students should submit a video file by using WeTransfer.com or Google Drive if the file is large.
There will be three winners for each category, chosen by three judges from Flagler County’s schools. The judges are Brandon Seminara, Edson Beckett, and one surprise judge. The winners will receive a trophy for the category they submitted their film in.
“Flagler Palm Coast High School has had a film festival before. Last year, FPC-TV directed the first annual film festival called ‘Scary Frames’, which was themed for Halloween and a huge success.” Mrs. Celeste added, “This creates an opportunity for students to get hands on experience in marketing, event coordination, and cinematography.”
