It’s time to kick off the 2016-2017 school year! Let me introduce myself: My name is Elora Haynes, and I’m the Flagler Schools Observer’s sole Editor for this year. Now that we’re slowly adjusting into our school routines, it’s important to finally address the modifications happening to the website and its content. These alterations were made so the site isn’t as cluttered, and that we get the opportunity to present the news in a variety of ways.
As the FSO has grown over time, we’ve focused on finding a systematic way to publicize the news we share. Since this always relates back to students in one way or another, we’re fitting more into a groove that challenges us into giving our articles a unique angle. With this in mind we created a mission statement that will help us zero in on what we stand for and the direction of the website this year. It reads as follows:
Mission Statement: We at the Flagler Schools Observer will strive to inform the Flagler Schools Community of/about the events/topics that matter to your world.
As for the website itself, there were some minor changes to its appearance, but nothing too drastic. We’re completely starting this year over on a blank slate. This means that all of our past content has been erased, giving everyone involved a fresh start.
